UX and UI design.

Journeys and interfaces that are easy to follow for the people who use them.

Two designers assemble a website layout and its matching mobile version.

Start with the task, then design the screen.

We map what visitors need to understand and do, then develop the structure, interactions and visual hierarchy to support them. We review the design with real content and awkward states such as errors and empty results, rather than a polished first screen alone.

What we can build together.

The final deliverables, review rounds and schedule are agreed around your brief.

Journey and structure
Define key tasks, page relationships and the information needed at each step.
Wireframes and prototypes
Explore layout and interaction before committing to polished screens.
Interface system
Create consistent components, typography, spacing and responsive behaviour.
Review and handoff
Check key journeys, document states and prepare designs for development.

Review the difficult states too.

Use realistic content in the prototype

Short placeholder headings and perfect sample data can hide problems. Include a long service name, an empty result and an invalid form entry when those states are relevant. Review the flow on the screen sizes and input methods the audience is likely to use.

Make the structure understandable

The visual hierarchy and underlying page structure should tell the same story. W3C’s guidance explains how headings and labelled regions help people navigate content. Include those requirements in the design handoff rather than leave them to be guessed during development. Read the W3C page-structure tutorial.

From brief to handover.

  1. Understand the task

Review the audience, business goal and existing experience to identify the main usability questions.

  2. Prototype the journey

Build a realistic flow and review its structure before refining the visual design.

  3. Prepare implementation

Document responsive behaviour, interaction states and component use for the development team.

The answers to
your questions.

Get in touch
Can you redesign only part of a website?

Yes. We can focus on a checkout, enquiry flow, landing page or another journey where the problem is already known.

Do you test with users?

Usability sessions can be included in the scope. We agree the questions, participants and method first.

Can our developers build the designs?

Yes. Handoff can include component specifications, interaction notes and implementation review.
